"A soft and fleshy textured wine with flavours of red and yellow plums then other blue fruit highlights. There’s a layer of wood spices and toasty wood smoke adding content and complexity. Tannins are firm(ish) yet dissolve easily on the palate, acidity is medium+. A well-made wine with an early drinking quality, best from 2024 through 2028."

2022 was a difficult vintage in the Hawkes Bay. We love Bob Campbell MW comments when giving this wine 88Pts. He said: "Light, fragrant, wine that is a blend of berry fruit and fresh herb flavours. Supple, honest wine from a light vintage. The winemaker has thankfully avoided the temptation to beef up the wine, preferring to let it express both place and vintage."

A great drink, that it what it is. Medium weight, soft and morish with out the need to search for brilliance.
