MEET THE FOUNDER
Meet Henry Jacobs, the owner and founder of Primo Vino. Henry discovered his passion for quality wine whilst he was studying to become a primary school teacher. After 17 years of working as a teacher, Henry decided that it was time to retire from teaching and pursue his passion for wine. This resulted in the creation of Primo Vino, which was founded in November 1996, way back when the New Zealand wine industry was much smaller than it is now.
One of Henry's best skills is his ability to seek out the best quality wines out there and get them in store before they start to win accolades. So if you want to be ahead of the game and have the best wine out there, then definitely get in contact with Henry, or go and see him at the Primo Vino store.
Premium Beers and Spirits
The events of this year have very influenced a change in direction for us at Primo Vino regarding our spirit offerings especially. We have always held a range of interesting and really well priced single malts. Over the next year our tentacles will move into other Spirit types, Gin, Bourbon, Vodka and Rum to name the main contenders, with the same view and to having a range from the classics to the new and innovative. At the same time we will carry a range of beers that follow that same mantel but in a smaller scale.
