New release Super Classic
Johanneshof Cellars Marlborough 2011 Gewürztraminer
New Release 5 Stars Michael Cooper plus, it's “Classic New Zealand Wine ” has been elevated to “Super Classic New Zealand Wine” highlighting consistency of excellence over at least five years.
This is yet another outstanding Gewurz from the masters. In our opinion this wine has been the top equal Gewurz with the Dry River for many many years. In terms of value it is second to none. The 2011 won't disappoint; in fact we feel it will enhance this wines brilliant reputation.
Musk, rose petal, turkish delight, lycee you name it its got it all on the Gewurz front. The thing that makes this wine stand out is its immaculate balance. It is superb.
This wine is sure to do very well, very quickly.

Discovery Point ‘Lowburn Vineyard Selection.’ Central Otago Pinot Noir 2009
“Moderately dense wine with dark cherry, blackcurrant and spicy oak flavours. It has a sleek and vibrant texture with a pleasantly drying and slightly peppery finish. Attractive wine with energy and a structure that promises cellaring potential.” Bob Campbell MW
A selection of low-yielding fruit from a superior single vineyard situated in Lowburn within Central Otago's Cromwell Basin. Lowburn is one of Otago's warmer regions resulting in ripe, opulent Pinots. Hand harvested, indigenously fermented in open-top oak vessels then matured for 10 months in French oak barriques.

Best Value Cabernet Blend in the land
Beach House 2009 Gimblett Gravels Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Malbec
Warren Barton Top 100 wines 2010: Best Reds under $25.00
He says " surprisingly similar to the Cabernet Malbec from 2007, which was another good vintage in the Hawkes Bay. Cabernet provides the blackberries, the Malbec and the Merlot the savoury plums. it beats the hell out of jammy Australian barbecue Shiraz."
This wine is outstanding value and makes many at twice the price look very very average. A top Primo Vino seller.

5 Star & Gold Medal Bordeaux Dream deal
Discovery Point 'The Gravels Selection' Hawke’s Bay Merlot Malbec 2009
Gold Medal New Zealand International Wine Show 2010
5 Stars Raymond Chan Wine Reviews, he said
"The Discovery Point ‘The Gravels Selection' Hawke's Bay Merlot/Malbec 2009 (18.5/20) is 60% Merlot and 40% Malbec fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 15 months in 20% new French oak. Almost impenetrable black-hued ruby-red, this has an elegant and fine bouquet of spicy black plums and violets, and a sleek, fine-grained, medium-weighted palate showing flavours of dark plum jam, spices and earthy black fruits. The mouthfeel is very smooth and silky, with good acid freshness and clean, but lush finish. This will develop well over the next 5-6 years."
