Askerne have made a big name for aromatic wines. This the second vintage, is a ripper. The nose is full of stonefruit aromas with hints of pear and tangelo on a backdrop of smokey oak. 100% of the fruit was barrel fermented: 25% new oak, 25% 1 year old & 50% 2 year old.
The palate is firm with peach, rock melon and mineral notes. Well balanced and elegant. A wonderful expression of the grape variety.
